Great ideas, thanks.

What kinds of reviews did you have from sponsors/exhibitors? Even if they weren't completely satisfied with engagement, were they happy with ASA's efforts??

I’m having my first hybrid modeled meeting in June
Kevin Kruse

I am seeing more of the major hotel brands including their internal AV for groups to do the virtual meeting option.
Angie Stengel
35:15
We are having a hybrid meeting in May and will be using a similar model to ASA. Registration is strong and growing for both the face to face meeting and virtual track
Sara Olson

I have a colleague who used Whova for a recent meeting and they liked the platform. It is also pretty affordable. They still had a hard time getting folks to visit their booths, but the platform worked well.
Angie Stengel
36:48
We are expecting to keep hybrid model for the future meetings

what are the attendance #s?
Kevin Kruse
41:13
We are going to order similar colored ribbons for our in person meeting to allow attendees to show how comfortable they are in greeting and talking to others.
David Corey
44:18
Do you price the virtual aspect vs in person differently? One of our board members want to charge more for the virtual aspect to force folks to think about attending. Thoughts?
debijohnson1
45:22
We plan to charge more for the virtual option in the future after the pandemic. During the pandemic the price will be the same
David Corey
47:12
How much more, if u don’t mind?
debijohnson1
49:01
That will be determined during our 2022 annual strategic planning session. I suspect it will be at least a discount representative of a one night stay hotel

Until the pandemic is over, my attorney is advising not to “appear” to force attendees to attend in-person.
Melissa Wilson

Gamification is a great way to engage.
Angie Stengel
55:45
Gamification in the exhibit hall drives some attendees to be more engaged- Trainees enjoyed his at our meeting
Stewart Hinckley
56:23
Remo is also a good add-on platform for engagement
Dave Butler

Very interested in that CME hybrid info. Thanks
Rachel Hickerson
01:00:51
There are a few virtual platforms who do the same as Whova as well with reports and credits
Christina Bacak
01:01:12
This information has been very helpful. Thanks everyone.

Thanks, everyone, for participating in this informative call. Need to run. Looking forward to next time.

MSA is having a fully virtual annual meeting using Engineerica - Conference Tracker platform on 4/24/21. 90 registered, 4 Exhibitors, and ASA JPP has allowed for 7.25 CMEs for the whole day. The Governance will be done by using the ASA Zoom account.

great
Christina Bacak
01:05:11
thanks!
Joni Bowers

I will never use PSAV/Encore again after being grossly overcharged at several facilities. I'm contracting with a private company exclusively now.
Jessica Shepherd
01:05:53
To anyone who is hosting their meeting at a hotel, are you finding that the AV for a hybrid is is more expensive than a live-only meeting?
Christina Bacak
01:07:20
WE have used PSAV for years and always received excellent pricing. Since they have joined with Encore our proposal has almost tripled and we have been told if we go Hybrid we can add an additional $35K to the proposal.
Kevin Kruse
01:08:50
Will masks be required for attendees at the ASA Annual Meeting?
Sarah Braun
01:09:15
I believe yes - masks will be required.
Kevin Kruse
01:10:10
We have some groups that are looking at providing masks as a sponsorship opportunity.
David Corey
01:10:47
Can ASA distribute a sample Hold harmless clause to us?
David Corey
